At Rootmate, when we say our rooties are for life, we mean it! Meet the "A Friend for Life Program", our service for plant mates who want a change without leaving their longtime companion behind. It's part of our mission to make Rootmate as circular and sustainable as possible, using durable materials and handmade processes that let every rootie transform again and again — staying with you through every change in your life!

How it Works

1. Choose Your new color

Choose the new color for your rootie. -> It must be the same model and size as the one you want to swap.

2. Use Our Code

Place your order with the code friendforlife at checkout.🛒 *This code doesn't apply a discount; it just tells us the planter is a swap.

3. Get Your New Rootie

Your new rootie arrives with a shipping label inside so you can send us the old one.

4. Re-plant

Repot into your new rootie. 🪴

5. Send us your old rootie

Pack the old rootie in the box 📦 and schedule the pickup. Let us know once it's on its way.

6. Get Your Refund

Once your rootie reaches us, we'll refund 40% of your purchase 💵

When will I get my refund?

Once the planter reaches our workshop, you'll get the refund in your account within 5 to 10 business days.

Can I buy a different model or size?

No, the program is only for changing the color of the same model.

What if the planter I send back is damaged?

No problem. We want your rooties to stay with you through every stage of life.
